Tom is a life time resident of Western PA, and has a wife Thresa of 40 years, and a daughter Sarah. He has over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry, and is the founder and President of 1st Consultants, Inc., and Thomas W. Young and Associates, Inc. He is a financial strategist who uses time value concepts and lost opportunity cost evaluations to help clients maximize the time value of money and benefits associated with insurance and financial products. Tom is a professional speaker and a radio personality on 1230/1460 WBVP/WMBA in Beaver Falls, PA. His radio show is called, "The Financial Coach for Seniors".

Tom formed the Foundation of Young Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow (YET) in 2000 to educate youth and young adults in high school and college about finance and macroeconomics.  Tom also formed Financial Curves, Inc to provide continuing consumer education about finance.

He is also a published author.  His book, "Life Insurance, Will It Pay When I Die," has been written for the consumer to help them navigate the different types of life insurance offered.  To find out more about the book, click on the title above. Tom has also written articles that were published online and picked up internationally. The first, "Why Widows are Left Destitute" was published in 2003. The second, "Top Insurance Professional Advises on Selecting Life Insurance to Provide for the Surviving Spouse."

Tom is experienced in insurance industry sales and sales management since 1976. He's been named 2004 Business Man of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee's Business Advisory Council. And is the recipient of the 2005 Ronald Reagan Gold Medal Award.  Tom has also earned several professional designations such as Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Registered Financial Consultant (RFC).

Along with these designations, Tom is also a former National Field Trainer for LEAP ä Systems, Inc. He has served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross - Beaver Chapter and the Beaver Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Beaver, Rochester, and Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Tom's newest recognition is to be listed in the 2007 Heritage Registry of Who's Who in America.

As a Certified Life Coach, Tom works as an overall financial coach for his clients and is also a member of the prestigious "MDRT" (Million Dollar Round Table). Tom has also been certified as a Human Behavior Consultant.

Tom is a charter member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and National Ethics Bureau.
